Top Law Schools

Just got a call + letter of acceptance from a school within t20. My numbers are both barely on or below their 25.
Also got a rejection letter from a T2 school. My numbers are on or just above their 75th. It's not YP because they didn't even waitlist me.

What is going on?

Congrats on the acceptance, must feel awesome. I'm crossing my fingers for some school, even ONE school like that to let me in.

Wait, the Christian mission statement is a real thing? I thought that was a joke earlier. Wow. Sandy, i wouldn't let it get to you. There is zero chance you would have gone (right?) so maybe they just figured it out before you did.

It was definitely a possibility if I had not gotten in anywhere else better, and truthfully I didn't think I would. And the essay in reply to their Christian Mission Statement is no joke. It's required.

and for the record, I have nothing but love for Pepperdine. I really do feel grateful that they considered my application and took their time to thoroughly review it. I'm sure only they know why, but bottomline is that I wasn't meant to be there.
