hey- not sure if im gonna take the monday test (sabbath observer). got a 162 on dec. test and all i want to go to is fordham PT, what do you guys think?

According to LSP (lawschoolpredictor.com) you are listed as an admit for Fordham, PT. I am not sure how reliable this is, but looking at the 25/75 for LSAT, I'd say it is relatively accurate. I would also considering PM'ing OperaSoprano (she is a moderator on here, and great source of Fordham information [as she is a Fordham student]) and asking her.

If you can get a higher score then I would say retake and see if you can get into a higher program than Fordham.

That being said, I think a 162 3.99 should be able to get you into Fordham PT.

Where did u go to UG?

wait a year, and apply ED to UVA next year... you may be in.

You've got a decent shot without retaking. The question is: at what score are you practicing at right now? If you're consistently hitting 163+, then retake for sure.

I met before the admissions cycle with a Fordham admissions officer. She tried to get me to retake. She said that a 1 point improvement is the likely difference between a WL and an Admit.

So, retake if you're likely to improve. Don't retake if you're not likely to improve. If you don't know, take the test and cancel if you don't feel great about it.

My sources say OP is likely in PT with that. Fordham will be all over that GPA. I'd still think about retaking, to make good use of OP's 3.99. I regret my own stubborn refusal to retake.

Indeed, that GPA is golden. OP, did you do a lot of prep work for the retake? Where are you currently testing at in practice? With a 170+ you're almost certainly in at Columbia or NYU.

I wish you the best of luck. I was out at Fordham PT with a 161/3.94. But hey, that slightly higher GPA and that one LSAT point can definitely mean a lot, so your chances are better than mine!

so before the december test i was averaging 167-171 so was pretty bummed abt the 162 but i figured id take what i can get being that im working full time.

Anyhoooo, i retook the test today!!!!!went well (i hope) so well see what comes of it. Thanks again for all the replies!
