need-based aid info, UC law schools

So,
I know everyone's FAFSA is different, and I daresay confidential. Still, does anyone have any idea how it works, empirically? (Davis and Hastings and UCLA 1Ls, 2Ls, 3Ls, feel free to chime in here
)
I received around 15 grand in schollies and grants here at UC Davis undergrad, and earned around 8,000. [EDIT: Nobody claims me as a dependent; I am a 37 y.o. non-trad]
I hear that Davis and Hastings are good with need-based aid, but does anyone know what I might expect from these schools in need-based aid?
Even info. on averages would be helpful, at a minimum.
