Top Law Schools

Hi everyone!

As the responses from my schools have started to come in I noticed an e-mail from Michigan State College of Law that offers up to $17,500/year if I write a two page paper explaining why I would like to be at MSU.

Can I say that I'm basically in if they are asking me to ask them for a scholarship? Or is this just an e-mail they send out to everyone that applies? It confused me to say the least.

Any pointers or insights would be much appreciated! Thanks All!

Please write the two page essay, see if you get the scholarship, and then decide where you want to got to law school.

Telling the school you want to go in a short email isn't doing what they asked.

EDIT: and of course I'm writting the letter they asked for, I'd love to get a scholarship. I'm just asking for curiosity's sake.

Ah. Well if you're in consideration, you should definitely take the shot.

I would try talking about what exactly about MSU Law attracts you, what you see yourself doing in the future with such a degree, talk up the school a bit, and add a piece on why you're an invaluable piece for them to add to their student population.

haha, yea I'm trying to see if anyone can tell me that I'm in strong consideration of if this e-mail they sent me is the type of e-mail they send to all applicants. Again for no reason other than personal curiosity.

Not sure how helpful this is but use LSP to see what your stats are compared to the school. If you are an admit or strong consider, I'd say you have a decent chance.
