I was thinking about using a consulting service to help me with my apps/personal statement. I was going to use kaplan but does anybody know of a better company?

Most (if not all) people who weigh in on this will tell you that none of them are worth it. There's little (if nothing) those companies can do for you that you couldn't find for free here on TLS, including Personal Statement editing.

I take it you're applying for the Fall 2011 school year? If so, you have a ton of time to work on your applications. I wouldn't waste the money if I were you.

TLS is easily the best consulting service, and its free .
