Addendum needed for single F?

Should be a quickie:

Four years after getting my undergrad degree, I took six business/accounting related courses at UCSB Extension. My grade in the final course: F.

Reason for it - unexpected business travel and responsibilities kept me from attending first four weeks of ten week course. At the time, I thought I could just cram like hell for the midterm and go on and get an A or B. This turned out to be an impossibility, but the deadline to drop the class or switch to pass/no pass had transpired. To modify after this deadline would have cost $100 and I didn't believe it was worth paying.

Is it worth including an addendum for this? It really doesn't affect my total GPA, but it's the only failing grade on my transcripts.

Thanks

Oh my god, I thought this was going to be about your single female status.

Nice. Let's see how many others think so too.

Also (to attempt to be helpful), I'd probably write a VERY short addendum so they know you care about the mark on your transcript and the reason for it wasn't just because you said, "fuck it."

Haha I thought this post was going to be about writing an addendum about why you're a female who's still single. You're stoked it doesn't affect your GPA so it's not a big deal, but I don't think there's a downside to a one sentence addendum outlining what you just posted. Draws attention to the fact that you had real work responsibility and that you sought out education.

Is this good?

To whom it may concern:
This addendum is in concern to the failing grade in my final course taken at UCSB Extension. Unforeseen business travel and responsibilities kept me from attending the first half of the course, and by the time I realized that I would need to drop the class the deadline had passed. UCSB extension would have charged a $100 fee to switch to a NP grade, and I did not believe it was worth paying.

Wait... NO no no no. You don't need this at all. This was 4 years AFTER your undergrad. It's not going to even go in your GPA.

Pretty sure they don't care what happens after you graduated.

Overreact much?

People get F's. Shit happens.

Do you have 8 of them? If not, no one cares.
