I'm confused about the transcript summary service. Do they just see your GPA, or do they actually see the names and levels of each course you took?

Yes, they see every class you have taken that is factored into your GPA. Or at least, they are capable of seeing them, I do not know for sure if they actually take the time to exam every class you have ever taken.

The law school also receive a copy of the transcript obtained from your law school via LSDAS, which comprises every class you took, the course name and numeric code and grade. The summary report of LSDAS is send in addition to the transcript.

They can see your transcript, which includes every class you took and what grade you made in it. However, in a lot of cases law schools simply don't take the time to look deeply at these, and unless something jumps out at them they're probably not going to notice it at all in a quick read-through.

Yes, they can see which courses you have taken ... because they are on your transcript.

When UVA called me they specifically mentioned a class on my transcript and asked if it was indicative of an interest in a specific field. Which it wasn't, but a nice touch anyway and, yeah, they definitely see your courses.
