Right now with an acceptance from a higher ranked school with no scholarship money and few lower ones with significant money
-or-
wait a few more weeks when i may have another acceptance from a higher ranked school and another offer with scholarship money from a peer school?
I feel like if I wait a few more weeks scholarship money will be less available

What did you end up doing, Soda? I'm in the same boat right now. Thanks!

Most higher ranked schools haven't made their merit aid offers yet. Check to see what the typical timeline for release of merit aid packages is and then start negotiating after you hear back whether you will receive one or not.
Edit: Saw this thread got bumped from a long time ago, sorry.

This. Have as much information and leverage to work with as you can.
