Withdraw on Final Transcript

Here's my dilemma: I'm in my final semester and only need 7 hours to graduate so I'm considering withdrawing from one of my classes (from 12 hours to 9). Could use the extra hours at my PT job, etc. I've already talked to my prof and I will get a WP.
In what world will this potentially hurt my chances of getting in late and/or off a waitlist at a preferred school?
Thanks in advance.

I don't see it making a huge impact one way or the other.

That's how I feel. I'd have to update my transcript for anyone to find out about it and, the way I see it, if I haven't gotten in my mid-May it'll be time to read the writing on the wall.

I have a 'W12' on my transcript because I withdrew from a course (my school lets us switch classes for the first month without penalty, but this was around the 2 month mark). I didn't mention it in my apps, and LSAC didn't take any points out of my GPA for it as far as I know. Hard to say if schools have noticed at this point, but I have a hunch they're not going to care. In fact, about the only way that it affected me was I was 1 credit short of graduating and had to get the head of my department to make me an independent study at the last minute.
