Late Application Question - Can I Still Apply for Fall 2010? Forum

I took the September 2009 test and completely bombed it. I was really nervous and had to pee during the first section. I was PT'ing at about 163 going into it, and scored a sad 149. After getting the score I completely gave up on thoughts of applying for this cycle. I am registered for the February test and PT'ing around 165/166 now. I have a 3.5 cum gpa from UCLA and need one more LOR (which I haven't asked for yet). Is it possible to get in on this cycle or should I just forget it about it? Schools I'd like to apply to: USC, *UC Hastings (top choice), Tulane, Colorado, UCLA, Vanderbilt, UC Davis and Lewis & Clark.

How should I go about doing it if I am still interested in applying. Should I submit my application before the deadlines and let the late LOR and test score trickle in? Should I wait until after I take the test? Wait after test results? Any and all help would be much appreciated!

eek. well, for one thing, there's no guarantee you'll hit your target in february. second, it's getting kinda late. by the time you submit and they get your scores, it'll be well into february getting into march. maybe you should just consider applying next year. if you check the hastings thread, i think people started getting decisions in december (i might be wrong). so if it's your top choice, keep in mind that there are a lot of people ahead of you. i'd save that february score for an early application for the following year though. that way, you don't have to rush your application. even if you submit now and have your score sent later... in the scenario that you don't get your ideal scores, you will have wasted a couple of hundred bucks on applications...

iirc some of those schools have a February 1 deadline.

UW's application deadline was January 15th.

Be absent for Feb test and wait till next cycle. In the mean time study your ass of for June 2010 and get that recommendation in order.
