Dumb question: Signing electronic forms

I shouldn't have to ask this I know, but they have a space on the form for signing, and they don't say anything about "if you are submitting this electronically."
Are you just supposed to ignore the request for a signature?

it's not a dumb question. LSAC is the dumb one for not making this clear.
You don't have to sign it. Just check the box that you electronically acknowledge the agreement - which comes up after you have completed your app.

I typed my name on the signature line. *shrugs*

Don't worry about it. Nobody cares and nobody will notice it.

Definitely agree with you. It seemed natural at the time; I guess I'm the oddity for automatically typing my name in.

If you have to sign something and mail it in, it will show up on your status page after you submit the app. It's not always clear when you have to do this, so go back to the status and look for a link to a certification letter.
I had this same question. It's not really clear until you submit the app and see the electronic signing checkbox.
