I thought it would be better to get that legal protection in case something ever did happen...better to have my MMJ card on my record than a possession charge.
Anyone else have any experience with this?
Rofl!!
Aren't you a little too young to have glaucoma ?

Re: Medical Marijuana Card
I think it probably depends. Did you get this card because you legitimately have a medical condition that necessitates the use of marijuana, or are you like the majority of people who get this card simply because they like to smoke pot? In other words, did you get the card because you have cancer, glaucoma, etc., or did you get it because you have back pain or because you sprained your ankle when you were 12?

Yeah I wouldn't touch that if I were you, since it's still illegal under federal law.

Re: Medical Marijuana Card
I love how on the disclosure section of the Boalt application it states that you are required to inform them of all criminal charges "except for misdemeanor marijuana charges" or something of the like.
But anyhow, I imagine this will be less of a problem if the OP plans on staying + practicing in California. Beyond that, I'm not sure how complicated it could make things in other states. I'd like to think that other states' bars wouldn't penalize OP for this, but who knows.

Re: Medical Marijuana Card
Why would having the MMJ card be a problem? It's not the same as actually being charged with possession.Knockglock wrote:Damnit...a little too late now, but I hope I didn't just fuck up my life lol :'(im_blue wrote:Yeah I wouldn't touch that if I were you, since it's still illegal under federal law.

Re: Medical Marijuana Card
It's illegal to possess marijuana, not possess the medical marijuana card. Specifically, I'm asking about the "I hope I didn't just fuck up my life lol :'(" part.Knockglock wrote:Well, because while the Medical Marijuana law is on the books in California, it is still illegal Federally.
