Coping with Post-Application Waiting Stress (PAWS)

I thought I was invulnerable. I thought I was a tough cookie. I could easily last til Spring. Now I am beaten down to my knees. I am a broken man.
I really cannot go on and live my life day-to-day, knowing that any day -even weekends- could be the lucky "Call day," or email day, or even just plain rejection day. The fact they now have twitter feeds and blogs updating us, it's even worse and more minute-by-minute.
The fact that it's an ongoing notification process is killing me. I have anywhere from minutes to months to wait. I'm going
loco.
Help?

I have nothing to say to help except that I'm going crazy too! Is it healthy to reload a schools applicant pool on LSN every 20 minutes to see if anyone's been notified today?

I am joking with the thread title but I'm totally serious. This is ruining the quality of my life. I am a planner and there's way too much stuff in the air, liable to change at any second...
My philosophy is to "stay in the moment" but LS is such a major change for me, anything I do now will be subject to massive upheaval. I'm tempted to quit my job, go on a trek across the world or something, and come back in a few months. Anything less will have null effect on getting my mind off things.

Sounds like a plan to me! Just be sure to get back in time to find out where you got in and send in a seat deposit before the deadline!!!

pretty entertaining sometimes, but this is the site that pushes me over the edge, forcing me to close the laptop.

I'm definitely more obsessed with this than I ever thought I'd be, the wait for the LSAT score, the wait for acceptances/denials. Brutal.
Brief moments of exhiliration followed by prolonged, nearly unbearable periods of anxiety.

Clarence Thomas. No seriously, Clarence Thomas.
Look at the shit he pulled and he still became a supreme court justice.
Surely they'll let your ass into some law school.

hth?

swim, exercise, etc. Find an activity in which you can thoroughly engage your body or mind in for the moment.

I'm supposed to hear back from UVA ED this week and it's becoming ridiculous. I may take up smoking. I just want to know one way or the other.

ED? Should be retitled "special D"

I have to get my wisdom teeth extracted in the next few weeks. so between current antibiotics/pain meds and then eventually being passed out recovering, I hope that should numb out most of this waiting stress.
The current meds are like two birds with one stone - helps my inflamed & impacted wisdoms, eases the waiting anxiety lol
