based on LSN, seems that UVA is by far the most numbersbased

So on LSN, UVA's acceptances (excluding URMs but we won't go into that here) seem to be making a complete right angle at what one has to assume they want their medians to be. I always thought UVA had a rep for looking past the numbers. Is this a new thing that they're doing? Why are they the only school who seems to be doing it?

This is nothing new - look at their previous cycles.

Up until a couple weeks ago it seemed there was a direct line at the 170/3.3, and everyone higher than that got in. The WL's above those numbers, aside from one or two exceptions (if I recall correctly) are new.

Apply early!

They have the highest medians of any school outside the T6, so they can't really afford to look past the numbers too much.
