Should I be worried

I applied late november early december and I still have no decisions. I went complete at UVA, Gtown, Fordham and one or two others around december 5th. According to LSN, the people who went complete in early decembers at gtown got their decisions in early janurary . Are applciations just way up this year or should I be worried?

Judging by the lack of serious responses I take it I should not be worried. I've just noticed in previous years people who were complete inearly december got their decisions in early-mid janurary.

Honestly, it wasn't a horrible question. A lot of us (including me) are freaking out about how this cycle is going. Your apps are out, you've done what you can do, and now you just need to sit back and see what happens.

Update now that were almost 1/3 of the way through February. Still no decisions, not even at my safe schools like Fordham.
At this point should I be writing LOCIs to my schools? I read the thread posted by Ken and I'm not sure if a LOCI would be appropriate given they haven't waitlisted me...

Don't freak out yet. I applied between 11/1 and Thanksgiving, and I have just recently gone complete/under review at most schools. I've understood this to mean that they are just getting around to the files, not that they are lingering over my application for an usual amount of time. This may be, in part, because applications are up all over the place. That won't change your odds any more than it does for all of us.

I think that this is just a crazy cycle, and things are taking a little longer than they might normally.

Yea, it's mostly just that I've been told that softs don't matter, but the fact that I have weak softs is making me a little anxious.

I feel ya on that one.
The people saying "softs don't matter" aren't the straight out of UG 180 LSAT kids. They're people who have pretty decents softs and act bitter that they don't count for more.
Personally I'd like to see softs count for less.

Ok, first decision is a waitlist at BC, apprehension is kinda increasing.

Well I added an app to duke a week ago, but that's probably another waitlist so not exactly helpful. The only other place I would consider is G.W. cause I'm interested in D.C. but I think I'm gonna pass and hope for the best with Georgetown. If I don't get in anywhere on my list which seems pretty unlikely I think I would probably work my ass off and retake the LSAT or get some work experience and reapply. Retaking would be iffy though since my score was 4 points higher than my PT average.

Honestly, who told you softs didn't matter? When you look at that you'll get a clearer answer of whether you know at all.
Was it 0Ls like you and me? 1Ls? Or was it from the admissions office?
Most of the admissions interviews I've read on TLS state that softs at least add to diversity (always a plus).
But I don't really think most people on these forums know for sure whether softs count for something or not, and are even qualified to make a statement to that effect.

Though you have to keep in mind how many people share some softs, or all softs with you.

Preferred waitlist at Georgetown, should have gone ED there.

Still time for you to ED to UVA; with your LSAT you'd have a good shot. Places pretty well in DC, I hear (though I'm sure one of the many students currently at UVA can elaborate). Just something to think about.
