I'm currently considering applying to GTown PT, however I'm unsure if it would be wise to select over T25 FT.

I am one year out of college, so GTown with a solid career isnt really an option. I do have some congressional intern experience, and would likely have no problem securing a legitimate internship on the hill. But that doesn't pay money and I'm concerned may just eat up time.

Further, how are admissions prospects for PT students who dont have a career locked down in DC? From a numbers perspective LSP has me as "Strong Consider" @ 72%.

Any thoughts? Anybody applying PT without a job lined up?

I would choose GULC PT over any non-T14 FT. You can do PT even without a job, and there's less stress with one fewer class than FT students. Then just make up 2 classes over the summer and switch to the FT section.

im thinking of ED'ing to GTown PT really early next cycle. wat do u think my chances are with a 167/3.4 and is this a wise ED?

I was unaware its so (relativley) simple to transfer to FT.

In reference to the previous poster, I think an ED with those numbers is a great idea given your username. I did a quick google search and it appearzs 164 is the median for their PT program. I would suggest gaining as much internship/work experience as possible to present yourself as a solid candidiate.

I'm doing this, not ED though ... and from what I understand it's a fairly simple transition into the FT program after your 1L year. It depends on what T25 options you have though, I'd definitely take Vandy and probably take UT over G-town (even FT), but thats just me.

I would go to gt pt over a t25, but I would take a look at how gts part time cycle is rolling out before considering it as anywhere close to a probability (not saying you are). They seem to have become much more selective, people with 168s (myself included) have been waitlisted or rejected.

Part time students are now counted for USNWR, and which means they the PT will probably have the same medians as the full time at most schools.

So any shot for a 166/3.8? What about a 166/3.8 with a cap hill internship lined up?
