Since your GPA stayed the same, I would suggest sending in the updated transcript. Not doing so would send a red flag to some schools that your grades probably dropped.

on second thought, I don't think I will bother sending them in. I know my determining factor won't be my GPA anyways. sigh, it's the LSAT

If it didn't change there's no real point to unless it's free to do so.

There's no red flag issue with law school admissions. I remember that when UVA accepted me they told me that that if my GPA fell below X that I should not send it to LSAC. For that to have happened I would've had to have gotten all D's.

All they care about is USNWR reporting.

This exact question actually came up during a panel session with the Deans of Admission at Stanford, Penn, Cornell, and a couple other T14's. Their unanimous reply was that holding back grades was a red flag, especially for WL applicants late in the cycle.

Of course, it's fully possible that their response was just some PR bullshit.

The UVA situation is slightly different, because after you're accepted, they don't want your LSAC GPA to drop below what they were counting on to report as ABA data.
