An extra letter of recommendation?

Hey,

I'm applying to Notre Dame and already have two letters of recommendation from professors of mine. I do know a lawyer who went to law school at Notre Dame who would like to write me a recommendation as well. Would I lose points for having a third letter of recommendation when they only ask for two?

I've never seen any law school that required 2 LORs discourage 3, but make sure that the 3rd one really says something extra that the other 2 didn't.

send it. It won't hurt (law schools which req none aren't going to frown upon sending 1, 2, or 3.)

Follow directions.

If it says: "2 LOR required, maximum 4 allowed", then sure, OK, send it.

If it says: "2 only" then don't.
