Samford Scholarship Question

I've been asked to fly down and interview for a scholarship at Samford and attend some cocktail reception. My dilemma is I am not sure I'm competitive enough for a good scholarship (half +). I'd rather save my money for another school I have a better shot at. Does anyone here go to Samford or has interviewed for a scholarship there? How many people are typically interviewed? Any advice would be awesome.
