Hi y'all. I had a LOR faxed to LSAC yesterday. Just wondering if anybody has had experience with the turnaround time it will take for the letter to go through and get posted onto my account at this time of year? Perhaps somebody else has recently sent a fax and we can compare notes?

I called the people at LSAC and they were, as usual, rather unhelpful (gave me the standard "10 business days," couldn't confirm if the fax had shown up).

earlier in the cycle (november 09) turnaround for me was 2 hours. If a week goes by and you don't see it as being processed, then I would have the recommender fax it again and call LSAC.

@fl0w - Thanks for the info. I think I'll wait another day or two before asking my recommender to re-fax.

@everybody - If any of you have sent a fax within the last day or two, I'd love to hear if/when it's been posted to your account.

Yep, my recommender faxed the letter Monday around noon, and LSAC posted it at 4:35 am this morning. Less than 24hours, and it does happen overnight. I had another recommender fax a letter around 4pm EST today, so hopefully it will show up sometime tomorrow. I will update this when it happens.

The line is very busy, so just make sure they got a fax confirmation that it went through. (Faxing is def faster than mailing, I still have a letter floating out there and it was mailed 10 days ago!)

My recommender faxed it in a few weeks before break. i think it was a matter of 4 business days or so before it posted. something like that.

@vegansistah: Thanks. Please do post when the letter comes online. That'll by my signal to get my LOR re-faxed.

One of my letters took less than 4 hours, and the other took 2 days.

FWIW the fax just posted. So, slightly over 2 days.

Yep- I got mine posted, too, but no email yet. I just happened to check the LSAC site. So 24 hours for me for both letters. I am about to have the one that was previously mailed faxed off as well...

Final update for those who are also waiting on LORS... the one that was mailed (regular snail mail) on Dec 23 was posted this morning. So 14 days, including the Christmas and New Years holiday.

You can fax your LOR's??? On the form it states you have to mail it. Where is this info at?
