Top Law Schools

So, I got into UF Law. With a 166 3.87 it was a saftey, but I am a Florida resident and have a sincere interest in attending because I want to stay in the state. I was accepted on December 7th and it stated in the admissions packet that information on merit scholarships would be coming sometime between January and March. Well, that sounded great--until I just went on LSN. Everyone on the graph within an inch of me has already recieved 24-30k (which is HUGE considering 14k instate tuition). And I'm not joking when I say everyone, it is everyone from a 164/3.5 and up, except for me.

Does anyone have any thoughts on this? Did merit aide come with your acceptance letter? Am I just freaking out? UF is one of only 2 law schools that I have been accepted to, the other was BU (which also offered me no money though it gave it to my TLS numbers twin badwithpsuedonyms)

maybe you should call UF admissions and ask when scholarships will be offered. it's possible that the LSN people are lying.

I'm thinking of doing it sometime next week. It's just like...I would love to go to Florida for half tuition.

I would probably be reacting the same way, but yes....you are just freaking out lol. Just call!

Perhaps the other applicants are out-of-state applicants. The school may be awarding out-of-staters first. You're probably in the pipeline. Stay strong.

Though this is a sucky answer, it could be they think, because your numbers are so much above their average, there's a good chance you won't go anyway so there's no point in giving you scholarship money.

That's possible but there are many other possible reasons as well. It's early in the cycle so I think OP should still pursue this matter if he really wants to attend UF. A few phone calls or emails should demonstrate their sincere interest.

Hey count your blessings I am 164 3.5 and got the "decision pending" bullshit.

When I was accepted to UF law last year, I didn't receive my scholarship letter until late into March... and I was accepted on December 1st. Wait it out, I'm sure you'll get your $$.
