I didn't use a title, and I've heard from a few sources that it's not a good idea.Elms wrote:Good idea, thanks!
What about a title? Did anyone use any type of title for their PS, or did you just start the PS itself on the first line?
I put my name and what it was. Probably what you do for school papers.A'nold wrote:What if you have a personal statement, diversity statement, and addendum? How will they tell these 3 things apart?

Full Name
Personal Statement
Full Name
Diversity Statement
And you get the point. That was a really good idea to put the LSAC#. I would make sure your full name is on it if nothing else.
Yes, a header is different from a title. Headers usually go on the left hand corner of the paper, whereas a title goes in the middle.A'nold wrote:bella16 wrote:I put my name and what it was. So you are saying: head it, but just make sure it is small and not a title or something?
Are you using Word? Go to View - Header and Footer and you can type in your header. Insert - Page Numbers lets you add page numbers to your document.A'nold wrote:bella16 wrote:I put my name and what it was. Is the left better than the right? I've always headed on the right......Elms wrote:Are you using Word? Go to View - Header and Footer and you can type in your header. Oh I don't think that matters too much. Different majors put it on different sides.A'nold wrote:

I have a header on one line that has: "First and Last name" left justified; "PERSONAL STATEMENT" centered; and "LSAC Account #LXXXXX" right justified.t_flores08 wrote:I am adding the header in the following manner.
