Is it okay to repeat (very succinctly) basic info from my PS in my GPA addendum?
My PS focuses, in part, on an extremely disruptive life event (a parent arrested, held without bond for months, eventually charges dropped and freed) and how I dealt with it and helped my family cope through it.
The same event (and later consequences from it) caused a dip in my UGPA when I was in school. I want to repeat the very basic facts at the start of my GPA addendum, rather than relying on adcoms to remember details from my PS. Is that okay? Or is even minimal redundancy across docs frowned upon?
Thank you for any guidance!

It's fine if you just give a brief recital of the facts. Just be aware that GPA addenda rarely have any effect on your application.
