I've been looking through some sample personal statements here and I have found them incredibly useful for thinking about how to write my own. I haven't found any though that express someone with a similar background to me - I am a PhD student in Literature and am planning on going to law school after I finish my degree this year. There are several stumbling blocks that I am coming across as I write that I think are particular to my background. I am hoping that reading others' writing can help me make some decisions about what I should include and what I should avoid. Does anyone happen to have an example statement that they would be willing to let me read? Or perhaps you have come across one in this forum or elsewhere that you can reference?

I know this post is a bit dated, but if you're still looking for examples, PM me. I'm finishing an art history phd now, and I used my PS to establish that I am NOT just a "professional student," that I DO have specific career goals that required this long path, and blah blah blah their program needs me because I'm fly as fuck.
