Top Law Schools

I build desktop computers as a hobby. I'd like to use this to relate to law school because I think it says a lot about me - ability to adapt to difficult circumstances without clear directions etc.

1. Computers used to be a mystery to me

2. I decided to learn how to build computers

3. A friend helped me build one - after finished I tore it apart and built it myself because I wanted to really know how myself

4. Computers aren't as mysterious as they seem. They are a system of parts that form the whole

5. Solving problems is what I like to do. Research and find the problem and troubleshoot until it is fixed.

5. Law is the same way - I want to be the IT dept. : help fix problems that others don't have the knowledge or understanding to fix themselves

I think this is a solid rough outline but it needs refinement. How is the topic in general?

I don't think there's a clear connection between 1-4 and 5(1), or between 1-5(1) and 5(2). I also don't know how I feel about the troubleshooting analogy--legal work product is something you want to get right the first time it goes out. Finally, talking about building desktop computers in an interesting, engaging way is going to be an uphill battle. I'm sure it can be done, but you have to be careful.
