Why UMich: Why them vs. Why me?

Post by UghNonAmus » Wed Sep 14, 2016 7:18 am

So, my conundrum is that I have several compelling reasons for wanting to go to Michigan above any other school, and I am ED'ing there which will make evident that this in fact the case, but I am now at the approximate length limit and haven't said a single thing to answer the latter half of the question.

"Say more about your interest in the University of Michigan Law School. What do you believe Michigan has to offer to you and you to Michigan?"

Searching back through past similar posts, it seems like most people mainly focus on the why UM is the choice for them, as opposed to why they are the right choice for UM. Is it safe to assume that the rest of the application process is sufficient in answering that and I can mostly leave my wonderful, heartfelt expression of love for the school in tact, or should I be doing some editing to explicitly answer that in that essay, as well?
