I think it's a rare and effective story to tell for your PS. You might consider spending less time relating the facts of the story, and more time going beyond it with regard to its benefit to you long-term, and perhaps for law school. While simply stating its general benefits to you as a person is one route to take, it could be argued that also applying those benefits to law school specifically would be effective here. And in that case, I would tell the facts of the story faster and then relate what you bring to the table to LS study, the LS student community, and a legal emplyoyer.
