I think it's good. Well written, shows one of your passions and also where you came from. I have to admit though, I'm probably slightly biased as I grew up playing golf and working at golf courses.

Nitpicking since that's why you're here.

Your first semicolon should be a comma. I'm not sure about the last comma in the last sentence, maybe a dash. But I'm not as sure on that one.
