PS instructions - no length specified

Post by pterodactyls » Mon Dec 28, 2015 4:03 pm

Harvard, Stanford, Penn, and Cornell ask for 2 page statements.
Berkeley asks for a 4 page statement, Chicago asks for 2-4 pages, and Northwestern recommends 1-3 pages.

The other T14s (Yale, Columbia, NYU, UVA, Duke, Michigan, Georgetown) do not specify a page limit.

What do you all recommend?

I think my 4 page statement for Berkeley is pretty solid and paints a better picture than my 2 page statement. I would consider submitting something similar for schools that do not state a limit, but I don't want to appear too long-winded either. Do you think that 4 pages is too much for these schools?
