Burger King?

How's it going everyone? I'd like to get some feedback from some of you regarding my personal statement topic. As the title suggests, I worked at Burger King for a few summers. However, I did so in order to become more independent and branch out from my father's business. To make a long, story short, in my personal statement I explained how all of the employees were of Latin descent and of a lower socio-economic status. (which is true) Experiencing this environment, and how my co-workers lived pay-check to pay-check, has allowed me to see the world from another perspective, one that I have never seen first hand before my experience at Burger King. As a result, i have developed an interest in public defense and labor law.
What do some of you think of this topic? I also worked at my father's office in a managerial position that could demonstrate some of my positive qualities as well, but I feel like my Burger King experience is more unique. Any feedback would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Maybe you can post some excerpts, to give us more of a taste

The main issue with the Burger King idea is that you don't want it to come across as if your co-workers exist to provide you with enlightenment about the poor/disadvantaged. It might be fine, but there's a risk of sounding naive/privileged/condescending.
And Hand, don't troll.

Thanks for your help A.Nony Mouse. You think I could send you a PM of my personal statement and let me know what you think? I could review something of yours in return if you'd like. All in all, obviously my intentions are not to be offensive, but I think having an objective perspective review my work could only help. What do you say?

Maybe this could be a good idea for a diversity statement. Once knew someone who wrote on a similar topic.

This sounds like something that would be very difficult to pull off without, as Nony said, sounding completely out-of-touch.

God damnit, I've been studying so much civ pro that as soon as I saw the title I thought of personal jurisdiction.
