How Important is a Diversity Statement

Here's the deal-- I'm not a URM, but I did grow up abroad. However, my PS talks pretty broadly about how growing up abroad contributed to my interest in the law. I feel like any DS i wrote would be repetitive, but i don't want to be knocked for not submitting one-- how necessary is a DS? Any advice would be really helpful.

Not necessary at all, especially if not URM and furthermore if it will just repeat your PS.

If not a URM, a DS probably won't work. Though I did write a supplemental essay when I applied to all schools who offered that option. Some schools allow for additional essays on different topics aside from just "diversity" in the sense that we know it.
