So I thought it would be clever to use their motto in my personal statement. Made awesome sense and really tied it all together. Submitted personal statement after several edits with the motto in the final paragraph. Checking in on my top schools website today, noticed they changed the motto! What to do, what to do? It's one word, but it's not my word!!! Is this killer? Do I contact them? Do I hope they don't think I'm a total moron?

This does not matter. Please don't bother them. Remember to breathe and go outside.

If you want to be technical, you could cite the quote in a footnote and put "accessed on [date]." I'm not sure I've ever seen a footnote in a PS though. It would be funny and strange.
