Weren't you planning to leave the company to attend law school ?

I think it would be fine. Your work experience is still your work experience; anything you talked about in the ps will still apply. And as Canadian Wolf pointed out, you were a soon-to-be ex-employee anyway.

Just changing it to past tense seems fine.
