My first page has two paragraphs, each about half of a page. Kosher or not? It's all double spaced.

If double spaced, yes. If not, not

It depends on how large the other paragraphs are. If you have one paragraph that's almost the entire page and another paragraph that's only 3 lines it will look a bit odd. If both your paragraphs are 3/4 of page you're probably okay. In general, I would aim for a half page. On the other hand, a paragraph that takes up the entire page is probably too big.

I will add though that this probably doesn't matter all that much in the grand scheme of things.

It more depends on the content of the paragraph itself and if it is fluid. A half page, at double spaced length, isn't too long.

I agree with this.

In my experience, people asking "Are my paragraphs too long?" actually have issues with keeping each paragraph to a single idea.
