You would be writing this to explain away a dip in grades in a graduate program? I don't know if that's really necessary (they seem to only care about UG grades).

I am applying to law programs in a variety of countries where post-graduate work is considered as part of a 'holistic' candidate profile. I know that US schools really focus on UG only, but even so, I figure if I have a very valid reason for a sub-standard result, why not explain it?
