Top Law Schools

I know it's conventional wisdom here that each of Michigan, Virginia, and Penn basically require and optional essay to avoid YP, but there is no space on the current Virginia application for this essay. There's also no prompt. Has this expectation been dropped? Am I missing something?

No, it was never included in their application. It's only through word of mouth (and the UVA description on TLS) that people know to do this. Add it as a supplemental essay and spend a page talking about why you want to go to UVA instead of other law school...mention collegiality or some shit. That's what I did and I'm spending my Friday doing lawl skool shit at UVA. GL.
