Addendum help?

Would someone read this and let me know if it sounds ok? Also, let me know if you think it is even necessary.

Thank you!

In my first year and a half of college, I struggled with living on my own for the first time. Up until this point in my life, I had lived with my family. I did not have as many responsibilities throughout my adolescent years as I did when I moved for school, including budgeting, time management, and prioritizing needs versus wants. Learning how to balance all of my new responsibilities with school and coping with being alone in my own home was hard and is reflected in the grades I earned during my first three semesters at the University of Wyoming. I believe that my following six semesters are a better indicator of my ability to perform well at the ***** College of Law because I was able to gain the maturity needed to know how to balance everything.

How bad are your grades?

It's often better to be quite about a weakness than to highlight it in an addendum.

You went through the same thing thousands of other undergrads go through, but you biffed it.

Is this a transfer addendum? If so, they won't really care much about your UGPA if you rocked it during 1L.

No it's a first year application. My first three semesters were around 2.5, then last 6 were around 3.5. I was just trying to show that even though I screwed up, I was able to do ok afterwards. Thanks everyone :)
