Is the fact that it was an illegal job the point of the essay? I mean I think a lot of young people have had illegal shit go down in their jobs (not getting their mandatory breaks and not whistleblowing their managers for changing their time cards) . I think displaying you did something against the law/unethical isn't the best idea even if you did learn from it.Anonymous User wrote:I want to write about my unusual work experience but I am not sure if it is a wise decision; when I was struggling to pay my college tuition, due to my father's resolution to stop supporting my family financially, I had worked as an illegal hostess in New York City. The reason this job was illegal was because I was an international student and the law dictates that international students can not work for profit in any place unless the work is related to the school I am attending at.
I know it is little bit singular and even shameful to write such work experience but, I have learned so much about life and passion and have acquired so many beneficial skills from that place.
Should I proceed with this topic or am I doing myself a grave disservice?
thank you for helping me...
