I would like to make the Admissions Committee aware of the following information about my grades.

During the first five semesters of my undergraduate education at the University of Michigan, I planned on attending medical school and was taking the required science classes. For these semesters, I received a cumulative GPA of 3.264. After my fifth semester, I realized that my interests did not lie in the sciences or the pre-med track, and that neither best suited for my abilities. I then fully committed myself to humanities courses for my final three semesters of school. For these semesters, I achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.88. My overall GPA for my Women’s Studies concentration, for which I took classes throughout my time at U of M, is a 3.94. In retrospect, I should not have continued with the pre-med track for so much of my undergraduate education, but it took me some time and some C’s to figure this out.

I hope you will take this information into account when you evaluate my application. Thank you for your time and consideration.


Should I take out the joke about the C's? I feel like I should probably not joke around in my addendum.
