I have one personal statement written for all the schools i'm applying to. How necessary is it that i rename my document and insert the name of the school i apply to somewhere in my PS every time i send my PS to a school?

Or can i just send out that one generic PS to all schools without adding the school name randomly somewhere in my PS?

Don't add the name. They'll know it's generic, so it will look bad.
