Okay, first of all I have a question: when I started undergrad, I was pre-med (bio major and poli-sci minor) for 3 semesters. After the third semester, I dropped everything related to medicine and changed my poli-sci minor to my major. Should I address this transition in my PS?

The pre-meds at my uni often make jokes that everyone who can't cut it in medicine magically decides to do law instead, and I definitely do not want to be perceived that way by adcoms. I honestly feel that I should address it my PS, but I'd like to get some of your opinions on it.

That being said, I'm also looking for knowledgable people to critique my PS, so, if you are willing, please comment in this thread or send me a PM.

Any and all advice would be greatly appreciated!

TLS wisdom is that your LSAC GPA is about a billion times more important than your major.

Also, I don't think you should have to justify your decision to switch majors. That's part of college -- finding out what really interests you. If you get it right the first time around, great! If not, no big deal. Use your personal statement to address something else.

On another note, I'm still in need of someone to critique my PS. I just don't feel comfortable posting the text in the forum, but please comment in this thread or message me if you are willing. I could really use the help.

So what you are asking is should you address the sweeping and arrogant generalizations of your 20 year old peers because you feel the admissions professionals will share those biases? Your answer is embedded in the sarcasm.

Also. when you write your PS try to exclude all the useless words that end in "ly".

I'll keep that in mind.

I actually now have two potential personal statements - neither of which is complete - and really need help deciding which one to use. One is 500+ words, and the other one is only ~300 words so far. Please, please PM me or comment in this thread if you are willing to take a look. I would be forever grateful.
