I have a pretty solid paper that discusses my struggle with the English language from when I first moved to the US. I'm debating on using it as my diversity statement add on. Anyone have any thoughts? It is basically set up as a story and my struggle and then discusses how I improved and my overall change in attitude etc.

My personal statement is on a completely different topic and doesn't discuss any of the hardship I endured as an immigrant.

172/3.98 GPA
I think this would work well, maybe just a tweak here or there to make it more focused towards law school. Also you didn't mention length, that would be another consideration, make sure it can be effectively cut down to standard DS size if it isn't already.

I know I'm resurrecting a thread, but I think I've got a PSA that's relevant: OP should check what her undergraduate institution's policies are for something like that. Most likely it won't matter, but my undergrad frowns upon people reusing papers for other purposes - usually other academic purposes, but it does not hurt to check.
