USC personal statement/work experience?

I wanted to apply for USC. But it seems they want me to talk about my work experience since I have worked for a couple years now.
But I worked as a legal assistant and I am having a hard time not to write about "what's like to be a lawyer" in the essay...I mean, that's what I see everyday and that's what my boss and supervisor trying to show me everyday.
Any advice? Is it really necessary to write about work experience? Because I already have a personal statement that I am submitting to other schools...

"If you have spent a year or more in the work force after college, tell us about your employment experience"
