Yale 250 critique

Post by MAHamlin » Sat Feb 09, 2013 10:08 pm

After a lot of indecision I've finally decided to apply to Yale. I would love to hear some feedback regarding the 250 word essay I'm working on for my application. If you're interested message me and I'll shoot it to you! Thanks!

Okay, now I know that the essay is on any topic. It just has to be 250 words or less.

In my opinion, it is very well written. It is like an Immanuel Kant critique of ________ (fill in the blank) reasoning.

To the extent that the Yale adcomm focuses on the content of your argument as opposed to the pure logic of it, I think your topic may be controversial. But I think you already know that.

Thanks for taking a look! You're right that the topic has the potential to be controversial; however, I have to believe that the readers would rather review something controversial or provoking than something safe.
