hi guys,

a number of people have commented that my personal statement is a little too academic in tone...not patronizing but "book reportish." i talk about how my intellectual growth affected my personal growth, an approach everyone who read it liked.

i can't really see how to make it less so without significantly dumbing it down and my background IS very academic (i have a grad degree and w/e). so should i try to find ways to dumb it down?

My psychic powers are in the shop being repaired, so I find it difficult to give an opinion.
