Diversity statement or...don't bother?

Post by Anonymous User » Wed Nov 14, 2012 12:11 pm

I have some VERY unique job experiences that are on my résumé, which obviously will be submitted to the law schools. Should I write a DS on my work experiences and how they make me unique? How do I frame that if I do? I.e. do I talk about the skills the jobs gave me that would make me succeed in law school/law or is that too PS-y? (Disclaimer: I think it is, just don't know what I would write besides just rehashing resume, but I would like to highlight the experiences).

can't really say w/o knowing ur work experiences...also be careful to evaluate whether it really is unique.

also be careful of what the schools ask for...some will explicitly ask for socioeconomic challenges or examples of overcoming adversity.
