Leave of absence, is this good enough?

I took one semester off in college, just a semester before my graduation.
Please comment on whether the following addendum it is good enough to be submitted!

I took a leave of absence in the winter term of 2010. I used this time to work part-time at a university library, and seriously reflect on where I am in my life and where my life is going. After careful deliberation and consulting many people, I decided to go study abroad in Asia to broaden my scope and get some life experience.
