Personal Statement Advice

Hey guys, first time posting here, but I've seen many people give really good advice. Anyway, long story short I wanted to write my personal statement on my parents divorce at a young age and how it helped me become self-sufficient. Clearly this was an emotional time in my life, but I'd obviously censor my PS so it's not too emotional. I was wondering what you guys think, would this topic be TOO emotional? Any advice is appreciated...

Considering that I've read personal statements about being sold into human trafficking or someone's reaction to being raped, I'm gonna go ahead and say no.

Awesome! That's definitely a lot more emotional than my subject. Thanks for the quick response, I really appreciate it!

I think whether it's "too emotional" would depend on the content of the essay. I would focus on the positive emotions you associate with the divorce and even more so on how it contributes to your fitness for law school. Sounds like you've turned s*it into silver, which is a great life skill! Good luck, my friend!
