Dual Degree MA/JD in PS

hi everyone!

i want to apply for a dual degree JD and MA in International Relations. I was wondering if anyone has any experience with this and how much room you give to the MA application in your PS?

Don't you have to be accepted separately into each program? Therefore your PS would be different for both? Therefore probably only a brief mention of why you want the other degree in each PS would be OK, while focusing on convincing the respective adcomms for each school to let you in?
