how long should diversity statements be? about the same as PS (i.e. 2 pages double spaced)?

Supplemental/optional essays are usually a page or less, double-spaced.

Size 12 Times new romans or size 11 generally? I've heard both.

Both are "standard," so whichever makes it a more comfortable length. (Obviously, if the school specifies a size, use that.)
